Speaker A:Now, you know, for those who haven't seen the Trap Anonymous interview that you've done, right, one of the big things that stands out is the headline.
Speaker A:You know, basically you were able to create a system called the quote unquote approval game, which were you able to kind of.

Speaker A:Right, And I want to get into that.
Speaker A:But before we want to take it back to your upbringing real quick, one of the things that you said is you grew up in Oakland.
Speaker A:Now everybody knows Oakland.
Speaker A:You know, we got too short.
Speaker A:E40.
Speaker A:What is when you think of Oakland, what do you think of When I.
Speaker B:Think of Oakland, I think of the Black Panthers.
Speaker B:Huey Newton.
Speaker B:Yeah, my dad used to run with Huey Newton.
Speaker B:So that's what I think of when I think of Oakland.
Speaker B:I think of the Black Panthers.
Speaker A:What were some of the things when you did research, what were some of the things that you found out about them that you were like, eye opening for you?
Speaker B:They were strong.
Speaker B:They was black men who didn't bow down.
Speaker B:They stood strong in they culture and what they believe in, and they stood their grounds.
Speaker A:What were some of the principles that your pops kind of taught you growing up?
Speaker A:Cause I would think a man with that type of foundation would pass that down to their kid, give him some game, just show them a different way.
Speaker A:What were some of the things that you kind of inherited from him?
Speaker B:So my father passed away when I was 11.
Speaker B:Yeah, I was, like, fair.
Speaker B:I was fairly young, but I seen how strong I was.
Speaker B:I mean, how strong he was and how family oriented.
Speaker B:He was.
Speaker B:He didn't play about his children.
Speaker B:Cause it was a lot of us, you know, that thing.
Speaker B:Papa was a role so strength, you know, just standing your grounds, not bowing down to know, not bow down to nobody.
Speaker A:Right, Right.
Speaker B:Strong is an understatement.
Speaker A:What were some of the best memories you had of your pops?
Speaker B:I was a daddy's girl.
Speaker B:I always.
Speaker B:He always would come pick me up in his Cadillac, you know.
Speaker B:You know what they say about men who drive him?
Speaker A:What'd they say?
Speaker B:I don't know.
Speaker B:They say that men who drive Cadillacs is, you know, they got status.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker B:You know, pimp status, cat daddy, all that.
Speaker B:But yeah, my.
Speaker B:My father gave me strength at such a young age that I still vow to this day.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Now, now, during the interview, one thing that also stood out was you almost painted your mom as.
Speaker A:She was a little negligent as a youngin.
Speaker A:You said you taught yourself how to.
Speaker B:Walk, so I wouldn't say negligent.
Speaker B:My mom was a good mother.
Speaker B:I mean, she.
Speaker B:She was a functional addict.
Speaker B:And you know, we never went without.
Speaker B:There was always food on the table.
Speaker B:My father, you know, my father was there to help her.
Speaker B:But at such a young age, my mom was introduced to crack cocaine from her mother.
Speaker B:She used to make plays for her mom and take people prescription drugs.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker B:And that's how she got introduced to crack cocaine.
Speaker A:Man, I feel like I've watched so many documentaries on la, Oakland, the crack epidemic.
Speaker A:It feels like that particular scene got hit so much harder than a lot of other scenes, you know, as a kid.
Speaker A:What did it look like from your vantage point just seeing that play out?
Speaker B:So I grew up in Acorn Projects.
Speaker B:The Acorn Projects was real rough shootings, killings on a daily.
Speaker B:You know, my grandmother was a drug dealer.
Speaker B:She was a queen pen.
Speaker B: iption drugs and crack out of: Speaker A:So she was the candy lady and the plug.
Speaker B:And a plug.
Speaker A:Damn.
Speaker B:Yeah, so I see it, I seen it.
Speaker B:Grew up at such an early age, seeing all that transpire right in front of my eyes.
Speaker B:Not.
Speaker B:You know, when you grow up, you think you run up in a white picket fence house, right?
Speaker B:No, I grew up in Acorn Projects.
Speaker A:You know, a lot of kids that have like parents that are in the game, they become real street smart and hustlers super early.
Speaker A:Like, did that happen to you?
Speaker A:Did you ever feel like you had to move a pack or do something according to the streets early?
Speaker A:Or did you just walk the straight and narrow?
Speaker B:That's what I was.
Speaker B:I was around my whole life.
Speaker B:Hustlers and street smart individuals.
Speaker B:Only thing I knew was survival, how to stay strong, never depend on a man.
Speaker B:My mom instilled that to me, instilled that in me at such a young early age, to never depend on a man.
Speaker B:So that's all I knew, is to be strong, to stand my ground, and to survive in the ghetto.
Speaker A:So how did you survive in the ghetto?
Speaker A:Like, you know, we're talking.
Speaker A:How long were you there in the Acorn Projects?

Speaker B:Not just the Acorn project, just West Oakland.

Speaker B:All my life.

Speaker A:And I want you to go into a little bit of detail for those because, you know, there's an interview out there.

Speaker B:I was introduced to the game by og.

Speaker B:I was introduced to the game by her, but she was different.

Speaker B:When I tell you that, I used to be like, how does she do this?
Speaker B:Like, right, how did she get these tellers to give up this cash?
Speaker B:Like, what is she telling them over the phone to give up this cash?
Speaker B:So they used to call.
Speaker B:She used to call me the Bold and the Beautiful.
Speaker B:Like, I used to hop out as soon as we pull up at a bank.
Speaker B:I was hopping out first.
Speaker B:She had a crew.
Speaker B:So this one particular time we pulled up and it was another individual when she came and got me, right?
Speaker B:I let her get out first.
Speaker B:So she got out first.
Speaker B:You know, we in a car.
Speaker B:The young lady called.
Speaker B:She's saying whatever she had to say to the teller, which was, you know, thank you for calling Visa Emergency Services.
Speaker B:This is Sarah.
Speaker B:Can I get your account number, expiration date, name as it appears exactly on the card and amount of purchase?
Speaker B:The young lady tell her, well, I'm in a.
Speaker B:In a Bank of America and I'm doing a cash advance for 8,500 and my card is declining.
Speaker B:So Quetha tell her, let me place you on hold while I verify funds in your account.
Speaker B:First, she asked her for her for security purposes.
Speaker B:She asked her for a code like the last four of her social to give her the last four of her social.
Speaker B:She said, hold on.
Speaker B:And why verify funds in her account?
Speaker B:She gets back on the phone.
Speaker B:She brief, second.
Speaker B:She phoned, brief, hold, gets back on the phone.
Speaker B:I am showing that funds are available in your account.
Speaker B:I do have to speak with a teller to verify some security concerns on your account.
Speaker B:So the teller gets on the phone.
Speaker B:She's like, hi, this is Sarah with Visa Merchant Services.
Speaker B:Can I get your Visa merchant ID number?
Speaker B:The teller give her her Visa merchant ID number.
Speaker B:She tell her, you know, for security purposes.
Speaker B:Does the customer on that ID matches the customer that's standing in front of you?
Speaker B:The teller say yes, for security purposes because you have Ms.
Speaker B:So and so verified the last four digits of her social.
Speaker B:She verified the last four digit of her social.
Speaker B:The teller, you know, asked her, well, she's trying to get a cash advance off her visa for 8,500, and her card declined.
Speaker B:Kwetha, put the teller on hold, get back on her phone.
Speaker B:Put the teller on hold for a brief second.
Speaker B:Get back on the phone.
Speaker B:I am showing that funds are available in Ms.
Speaker B:So and so's account.
Speaker B:I'm going to go ahead and give you a voice authorization code.
Speaker B:Do you have a pen and paper handy?
Speaker B:The teller says, yes, I have a pen and paper handy.
Speaker B:And if the teller needs assistance with that transaction, Kwetha asks her, which terminal does she have?
Speaker B:So she have a FD150, a Verifone 250.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:She assists her with the transaction.
Speaker B:Give her all the steps.
Speaker B:Ma'am, you're gonna have to enter in the credit card number in manually along with the expiration date, along with the CVC code.
Speaker B:CVV code, along with the authorization code.
Speaker B:And the receipt should pop right up.
Speaker B:If, depending on which terminal she had, it's either a manual transaction or a forced sale transaction or offline transaction, and the receipt pop up.
Speaker B:So I was introduced to the game by her.
Speaker B:And after the banks got hot, I got introduced.
Speaker B:I introduced myself to the diamond game.

Speaker B:And I just skyrocketed after that.

Speaker B:And from me going so much, I start studying diamonds.

Speaker B:He like, are you a gemologist?
Speaker B:I'm like, no, I just know the art of diamonds.
Speaker B:I go in there and ask for a magnifying glass.
Speaker B:Let me see your magnifying glass.

Speaker B:I want to see if there's any inclusions in these diamonds.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:So when you go in there, that's anywhere.
Speaker B:Even if you go inside the candy store, you go in there, you know what you're talking about.
Speaker B:They're not gonna second guess you.
Speaker B:And then your aura, you know, it speaks volume.
Speaker B:You walk in there with confidence, like you know what you want.
Speaker B:It wasn't.

Speaker B:Was on our way there and I made a legal U turn and the sheriff pulled me over.
Speaker B:And when he pulled me over, he asked for my driver's license and my insurance.

Speaker B:I already knew me and my play sister who used to go with me everywhere, she was in the car with me.
Speaker B:I already knew it was over because I was on probation for an incident that occurred where one of my workers had one inside of a candy store.
Speaker B:And they had.
Speaker B:The teller had called the 1, 800 number back.
Speaker B:The teller let the young lady get away with the money, but she still felt a suspicion on my worker and she called the 1, 800 number back.
Speaker B:So they had ended up giving me probation for that.
Speaker B:So I had a three way search clause.
Speaker B:So he gets my license and registration.
Speaker B:He comes back to the car, he says, Ms.
Speaker B:So and so we see that you have a three way search call.
Speaker B:So we're gonna have to search the car, search the vehicle.
Speaker B:Everything was in the car.
Speaker B:I end up giving the stones to my play sister and the receipts to her.
Speaker B:And that didn't help.
Speaker B:They searched her too.
Speaker B:Took everything.
Speaker B:They ended up calling the.
Speaker B:They end up calling Boston while we was still there.
Speaker B:While they were still searching the car.

Speaker B:She got extradited first, but she was still dry, like, the whole time.

Speaker B:So we ended up getting back to Boston.
Speaker B:Her bail was $10,000 cash.
Speaker B:Mine was $20,000 cash.
Speaker B:I think mine's was so high because I had.
Speaker B:I was on probation in California.
Speaker B:And in Boston, you don't do the 10%, they want you to walk your money over to the Magister and pay the whole thing.

Speaker B:And not only was it tough to know that my kid's father seen them in my stuff and asked me.

Speaker B:You let absolutely not and didn't take it.
Speaker B:He allowed them to prance around Oakland in my clothes.

Speaker A:So you say you got seven years, right?
Speaker A:During those seven years, did your kids get to visit you often?
Speaker A:Or how did that play out?
Speaker B:When I was in Dublin, they was able to visit me often.
Speaker B:And then my mom was bringing me contraband inside Dublin.
Speaker B:So eventually somebody dropped a dime on me and I got shipped to Waseca.

Speaker B:Miles and miles and miles away, and I wasn't able to see my children no more.

Speaker A:Yeah, some of the most crazy things that you could think of, the craziest conditions you can think of, they've had to deal with it in jail, in the Feds.
Speaker A:So what was your experience like in the Feds?
Speaker B:My experience in the feds, any day away from your kids, away from your children is a tough time.
Speaker B:Away from your family is tough.
Speaker B:So as far as experience in FCI Dublin, it was okay because we had a weight pal.
Speaker B:We had a weight pack.
Speaker B:I worked out, like, my whole 84 months.
Speaker B:I worked out.
Speaker B:I went to school.
Speaker B:So in Dublin, I would say it was.
Speaker B:It was fairly decent.
Speaker B:But once I got To Waseca, we had to shovel snow.
Speaker B:We had to work.
Speaker B:Like it was different.

Speaker B:I felt like I'm a boss.
Speaker B:Like, I'm not about to work for nobody, for these pennies, let alone you already in the feds, you know, So I had an orderly job, so I worked in a unit.
